Representative John Fresolo Awarded 'Legislator of the Year' by the Massachusetts Police Association

Today Rep. John P. Fresolo (D-Worcester) was recognized as the Legislator of the Year by the Massachusetts Police Association which represents 22,000 law enforcement professionals across the Commonwealth including the City of Worcester. The award is presented to Legislators who keep public safety and law enforcement in their best interests when making decisions on Beacon Hill in the State Legislature.

"I am honored and humbled by this award. Throughout my Legislative career I have always made law enforcement one of my top priorities. I am aware of the importance of those in public safety in my community and throughout the Commonwealth and my voting record in the Massachusetts Legislature reflects this understanding," said Rep. Fresolo.

The award was given to Rep. Fresolo today at the Radisson hotel in Plymouth Massachusetts where the Massachusetts Police Association was holding their annual award ceremony.

"On behalf of the 22,000 members of the Association, I am proud to present Representative Fresolo with our 'Legislator of the Year' award. Few have worked harder than he to assure that law enforcement has the necessary tools that make for a safer Commonwealth. The citizens of his district as well as the Commonwealth should be thankful for a public servant that puts their safety first," said Jim Machado, President of the Massachusetts Police Association.
