Representative John P. Fresolo Announces Recruitment Campaign for Law Enforcement

 

Boston- Representative John P. Fresolo (D-Worcester) is pleased to inform citizens of Worcester of the recruitment campaign now underway for the upcoming entry-level examination for Police Officer, cities and towns, State Trooper, Massachusetts Department of State Police and Transit Police. The Examination will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2009�

OPEN COMPETITIVE EXAMINATION ANNOUNCEMENT

EXAMINATION DATE: APRIL 25, 2009

APPLICATION DEADLINE: MARCH 18, 2009*

EXAMINATION FEE: $100

*PLEASE NOTE:  There will be an additional $50 dollar processing fee for applications received after this date.  Applications WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED after APRIL 1, 2009.

This examination is being held to establish an eligibility list from which to fill Police Officer vacancies in civil service cities & towns and the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) and in non-civil service Trooper positions in the Massachusetts State Police Department. The eligibility list may also be used to fill police officer vacancies in non-civil service jurisdictions.

Applicants will have the option to have their exam results apply to one or both of the resulting eligible lists, Police Officer and Trooper, respectively.

BEFORE APPLYING it is recommended that applicants READ the ENTIRE examination announcement for information specific to the Police Officer & Trooper tests because requirements and preferences for the positions differ. 

APPLICANTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO BE CAREFUL WHEN THEY FILE THEIR APPLICATION FOR THE EXAM BECAUSE YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO CHANGE YOUR CHOICE AFTER THE EXAM IS HELD ON APRIL 25, 2009 AND THAT THERE ARE NO FEE REFUNDS UNLESS THE EXAM IS CANCELLED BY THE HUMAN RESOURCES DIVSION.
